A cub found resting in a tree has been taken down to the ground before running to his dad for comfort.
Photographer Sonia Rousseau captured these images while visiting the Kicheche-Ola-Reki Motorogi Conservancy in Keyna earlier this year.
The shots show a lion cub jumping up onto a tree branch before losing its grip and suddenly dropping to the floor below.
The cub then can be seen feeling sorry for itself before running over to its father to be consoled.
Sonia, a Parisian and wealth manager who also works on the side in photo-editing, said, “I’m always excited about what might happen, and this was one of the extraordinary mornings.”
“When we got closer, we could see the small cub sitting on some of the tree’s branches.
“After a few seconds it was hanging off the tree by its front legs, then fell onto all fours and ran over to its dad comfort.”
