This was the adorable moment an elephant moved in to cuddle a tourist.
The touching footage was shot at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand and showed a woman sitting on the muddy ground.
But she was not alone for long, as a calf was moving forward to get up close and personal with the surprised guest.
Others watched the tender moment chuckle with delight, and as the elephant sat on the woman’s lap, one man said she ‘looks like she is enjoying it.’
The animal was clearly a restless species and refused to sit still. It was clearly not the most comfortable sitting position as it moved up a woman’s lower leg.
But then it moved back up to her thighs as she smiled and playfully stroked it.
A bystander was then forced to come in to offer assistance as the woman exclaimed ‘ow’ as the elephant rolled back onto her shins.
But the animal was not in the mood to give up and rolled forward for another cuddle and pat down. Another visitor watched, then bent down and patted the calf.
The video was shared on YouTube by Andrew Way, who wrote: ‘On my last trip to Thailand I visited an elephant sanctuary and this two-month-old baby elephant just made my day.
“He was so adorable and playful, and hey! how often do you have an elephant sitting on your lap?”
