This is the adorable moment a baby elephant completely destroyed 12 stone cake conservation staff made for his grandmother.

In the viral clip, the calf from Samui Elephant Haven, Koh Samui, Suratthani, Thailand, ran and jumped on the cake and try to stop his grandmother from eating it.

The clip was originally shared on Instagram by the sanctuary and has been viewed nearly four million times on Twitter, with the young animal stepping on the cake within minutes of seeing it.

The sanctuary offers a £110 service where animal lovers can donate jumbo rice, pumpkins, watermelons, bananas, and grape cakes to the sanctuary in exchange for a personalized video.

But the latest incident seems to have gone very wrong as the cheeky animal sat on the cake before spitting out a piece of half-chewed watermelon.

A baby elephant, left, eating a snack in a Thai Sanctuary has gone viral on social media after completely destroying a cake the staff had put together for his grandmother and him within minutes of spotting it

The baby was called a ‘threat’ online, as parents with young children lamented that the video was not too different from what they experienced at home.

The clip shows the elephant walking around the cake to get a slice of watermelon, but the animal ended up stepping on it and destroying it.

As the grandmother calmly tried to get food with her trunk, the baby can be seen twirling around the confection, sliding over the food and strewn across the lawn.

The baby elephant does not seem to know how to use his trunk to find food properly, burying his head in the food turning the white cake into brown mud.

After a while, he managed to grab a bit of the watermelon with his stem and bring it to his mouth.

The calf cut in front of his grandmother, left, before stepping on the beautiful cake the staff had laid out of him and his grandmother

However, the baby elephant didn’t appear to be a fan, and he quickly spat out on the cake before moving on to another part of the cake that is still miraculously intact.

He once again buried his head in the cake, while his grandmother continued to eat the portions she could reach without noticing the calf.

Giving up the snack, the baby decided to lie on the food, dissuading it from his grandmother, who was still trying to get a slice of watermelon.

The baby’s trunk and body were covered in food at this stage, and her grandmother was staring at the camera understandably.

People loved the video but sympathized with the grandmother. Parents of young children said they could relate

After his rampage was over, the baby stood up and took a slice of watermelon as if nothing had happened.

He had reduced the pretty plate of food into small pieces to spread it from their black plate to the grace.

The video was shared online, and parents with young children found it very interesting.

‘Why are toddlers of every species a menace,’ one wrote.

‘A threat and she knows it. When she picked up a small fruit after sitting on the cake, ‘one agreed.

After messing about with the food, the elephant gave up and laid on the food, left. His grandmother seemed to roll her eyes as he did, right

“As a mother of a 21-month-old, this is too close to home,” another said.

‘Why does every child try to beat you where you are going,’ another asked.

‘Honest! People love puppies, but they really are the worst baby animals ever, and they take years to relax,’ one person agreed.

‘Lil bro moonwalked in it, put his face in it, ate it, spit it back out, then laid in it like it was a pallet…he bad as hell,’ said one.

When someone asked how the grandmother could stay so calm while the baby was ruining her meal, one wrote: ‘They are three years pregnant, you know how patient they are.’
