In one adorable scene, a lioness is reunited with the man who raised her as a cub. Upon realizing his old friend entered his enclosure, the cat ran to greet him with a huge cuddle.
Excited to see the man who used to take care of her when she was just a baby, the lioness throws him to the ground and showers him with love and affection. The beautiful moment was captured on camera, and it was nothing short of heartwarming!
Kiara – named after the famous Lion King character – lost her parents when she was just a few weeks old. But fortunately, she was saved by a kind man named Adolfo.
The man took care of the helpless lion and bottle-fed the little girl until she grew into an adult feline. After that, the lioness was taken to the Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation – a non-profit organization specializing in the rescue of big cats based in Mexico City.
Transferred to this rehabilitation center to receive specialist care, Kiara is about to receive a surprise visit. Her former carer missed her, so he went to see how she handles. But he would never guess he would receive the warmest welcome.
As soon as Kiara spotted Adolfo, she ran towards him and jumped into his arms. The strong cat put her old friend on the ground as she hugged him lovingly.
The Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation was founded in 2013 by Mexican wildlife enthusiast Eduardo Serio; they have rescued and rehabilitated hundreds of giant feral cats since then. Most of them, including lions, jaguars, pumas, tigers, or leopards, have been rescued from captivity.
Watch the adorable reunion here!
