A charming video of an infant elephant attempting to consume water from its trunk has gone viral.
The best place to discover adorable animal moments is Twitter. There is a slew of these gentle giants’ videos on this site, and most of them leave us smiling.
We came across one such video posted by an IFS official named Susanta Nanda, which he tweeted. With the caption, “Baby trying to master thousands of muscles”, he posted this clip of a baby elephant learning how to use its trunk.

In the 24-second video, a baby elephant attempts to drink water with its trunk. An elephant’s trunk has up to 40,000 muscles, and it takes the young elephants some time to master how to use them.
This is why this calf can’t properly drink water with its trunk, so it straight dips its mouth into the water.
