A turtle was turned into a Stegosaurus after a swarm of butterflies landed on his back.
Hubert Janiszewski, 43, snapped the incredible shots earlier this year, which show nature at its most magnificent.
When Hubert was visiting Mabuasehube Game Reserve in Botswana, South Africa, he saw a turtle harassed by a swarm of butterflies.
The butterflies are attached to the turtle’s shell, transforming him into a dinosaur known as a Stegosaurus.
“While I was standing at the Lesholoago waterhole, I noticed a huge leopard tortoise attempting to get out of the water.” Humbert, a photographer from Warsaw, Poland, said.
“I was astonished to find that there were swarms of butterflies perched on the tortoise as he emerged from the water when I zoomed in with my binoculars. The scenery was extraordinary.
“I grabbed my camera and took some photographs and video footage as soon as I could.
But after a while, we realized that the tortoise was trapped inside the hole.
“So, the first sight, which was a pure pleasure and delight, became quite passionate for us.
“I got out of the car when I was sure there were no more animals around and promptly lifted the turtle from the pool. He became a little anxious at first, hiding inside his shell, but he quickly understood that he was free to go his own way.
