A photographer has taken adorable pictures of a tiny frog who appears to be suffering from stage fright as he holds a flower stalk like a microphone.
Barbora Polívková, 40, snapped the tiny creature, which measures between 5 and 8 centimeters, while it was sitting on a lily leaf as a small stage.
A red-eyed tree frog is a species of frog native to South America. It was captured for the first time in the Czech Republic by Barbora’s friend.
The striking amphibian is an unusual creature with bright red eyes, a green body, and orange hands and feet.
“We did these shots outside in the field. I was eager to capture the frog on the flower because I think the colors work so well together.”
“My favorite picture is when she’s holding onto the stalk.”
“I love the blue color in the background and the way she’s holding it – it looks like she’s playing a tiny instrument like a violin or is about to sing.
“I think it’s quite nice and cute.”
Other images taken by Barbara show the frog grasping with its feet and holding out one hand.
Barbora said: “The frog was a perfect model. If you put her down on something, she will hold onto it. It was pretty easy to get the shots. She’s very photogenic.
“I deliberately chose a white flower because I wanted the main emphasis to be the frog.”
“She’s only about five to eight centimeters.
“The images have had a lovely reaction from friends. “I’ve received a lot of messages from them.”
Industry manager Barbora said she took up photography about five years ago and had had a passion for it when she was younger.
Barbora said, “I love taking pictures of plants, water drops, grass, insects, small animals.” I took pictures when I was younger, then took them up again about five years ago.
“I’m interested in micro-photography. I’m in love with the detail of it.
