When this elephant was filmed drinking from an outdoor swimming pool, he didn’t forget to bring his trunks – to the delight of swimmers.
A tour guide at Mhondoro Safari Lodge & Villa in South Africa filmed his amusing encounter with the enormous creature while taking a dip.
Ivan was swimming in the pool when he took footage of him wading in the water with a huge beast standing behind him, its trunk dangling in the pool.
Another video captures a guest at the resort wading in the same pool while an elephant was taking a sip.
The beast blows air into the pool using its trunk to create plumes of spray flying behind Ivan.
‘Mhondoro Safari Lodge and Villa has just been named the best safari destination in the world, and you can see why,’ declared Ivo.
‘I work with the elephants and must be very knowledgeable about their behavior to keep Mhondoro visitors safe on hikes,’ he concluded.
This elephant, who is in his thirties, is a regular visitor and has been known to drink from the pool.
Every minute of filming this was wonderful.
‘”Being able to look a large animal in the eye is incredible,” said Ivan. “Not to mention while taking a refreshing dip at the same time.”‘
