A mother elephant helps her calf get safely onto a muddy riverbank to reach the plains of South Africa.
In amazing footage showing love that truly transcends all, parents are seen crossing a body of water in Kruger National Park.
The footage, filmed on Sunday, shows a herd of elephants crossing the street.
For fully grown mammals, a stream is just a breeze. But for babies, it’s more of a challenge.
The baby boy was seen struggling to get uphill. Its little legs whirled but it couldn’t hold on.
However, his mother came to the rescue by giving him a hand and pushing him up to the bank with her giant trunk.
The rest of the herd can easily go up the river embankment.
The cameraman said: ‘The elephants are very sociable and caring for each other, especially their young.
‘Witnessing such incredible acts of kindness and caring between mother and child is a truly wonderful and inspiring experience.’
African elephants are easy to spot because of their big ears, much bigger than Asian elephants.
