Khun Mana Pratum, the Department of National Park’s Facebook head, yesterday reported that a herd of 16 wild elephants was discovered by rangers in Kaeng Krachan.
Having eight adults, a young one with tusks and four others without tusks, three babies and foraging for food along the natural barrier on the Pusai-Saiane route, which was created to prevent them from entering nearby communities at the entrance of Ban Moo 1, Tambon Huai Sat Yai, Hua Hin district of Thailand’s Prachuabkirikhan province.
To keep people and tourists safe from the wild animals, park rangers successfully herded them back into the forest.
