He’s behind you! When this photographer decided to take an underwater selfie, he got a surprise as a MANTA RAY photobombed him.
The diver decided to stop and take in his surroundings after diving deep into the clear blue sea, but he was shocked when he noticed what was approaching from behind.
When German photographer and conservationist Christian Miller, 38, was diving in the Socorro Islands in Mexico, he witnessed a hilarious incident on camera.
“I’ve never seen this kind of behavior from manta rays before!” said Christian, a resident of Australia.
“They’re addicted to bubbles,” says one diver. “If you wait until the bubble passes above you and they feel it touch them below, they’ll have a wonderful shiver before sinking right down on top of you.
“It’s like giving them a free spa treatment!”
It’s a wonderful experience that I could have done all day.
“The manta ray looked like he was smiling,” says Jolee.
“This kind of wild marine life behavior was one-of-a-kind. The ocean is full of wonder, and we must do everything possible to protect it.”
