In an adorable display of kindness, a group of horses has been spotted babysitting a newborn horse. The child is waiting for his mother on a farm outside Steamboat Springs in Route County, Colorado. The horses approached the little creature, and when they realized it was alone, they began to take care of it.
Kally May, the ranch owner, noticed something unusual in her horses and went to investigate. But her heart melted for a moment when she saw the lovely sight. She even managed to snap some pictures!
Since the mother deer was nowhere to be found, Kally began to worry a bit because she thought the little fawn might be orphaned. So the woman called wildlife officials. But they told her to leave the kitten in the same place because eventually, the mother will return.
This behavior is actually widespread among deer. Mothers often leave their babies alone when they look for food. They act like this to avoid predators and move faster!
After learning that all she had to do with the newborn fawn was “let it be,” Kally acted right. The next day, Kally was pleased to find out the mother-baby pair together! “The fawn’s mother came back this morning!” May wrote on Thursday. “It’s a delighted ending.”
