It’s frequently assumed that cats and dogs aren’t good friends, but this wonderful relationship between two tigers and a group of dogs shows otherwise.

The German Shepherds, Blacky, Hugo, and Jenny are joined in an uncommon bond with the big cat Suria and newborn tiger cub Sunny.
Both Suria and Sunny were born at the Oasis of the Siberian Tiger in Senec, Slovakia, which is a prohibited zone that breeds Siberian tigers.

Since being born two years ago, the older tigress Suria has been inseparable from the dogs.
The Oasis’ newest addition, four-month-old cub Sunny, appears to be following in her footsteps and has formed a friendship with the canines as well.

Lucia Zustakova, who was at the Oasis to see the playing dogs and tigers, and Martin Ziman, a volunteer at the oasis who frequently captures fantastic moments.
The group’s daily playtime allows them to interact, and on occasion, things get rather rowdy as the boisterous animals play-fight and chase after one another enthusiastically.
“It’s wonderful to see it all, and when you’re so close to these gorgeous creatures, it’s incredible.”

Suria spends every day playing with the dogs and they adore her.
“I love animals and the sanctuary is a fantastic opportunity to assist these tigers that are on the verge of extinction.”

The oasis is run by Yveta Irsova, who also owns the dogs. It opened in 1999 and houses 28 tigers, 23 of which were born there.
The sanctuary aims to rescue a small population of tigers from extinction and contribute to the genetic pool for the breeding of the critically endangered lions.
Suria and her dog friend
With many species of tigers already extinct, Yveta and her crew are determined to avoid the same fate for Siberian tigers, who are victims of extensive po.ac.hing and habitat loss.
Suria added, “The dogs are nearly the same age as Suria and have been together since they were youngsters. They spend most of their time together.”
“They’re like siblings and spend the day together playing. They never do any damage to one another.”
