Animal Kingdom has suggested some very odd friendships, but this one might be the weirdest. A lion and a chimpanzee are best friends, and they win everyone’s hearts with their special bond.
The two friends seem to have been born at the Zoological Wildlife Foundation in Miami, Florida, and they’ve been in love ever since they met.
Even though the chimpanzee Limbani is 3 years old and his best friend Binta is 6 months old, that doesn’t stop them from playing and wrestling with each other every chance they get.
A recent movie scene captures the two rollings around the grass that went straight to viewers’ hearts.
They were cuddling and shoving each other like two children. If you watch them spend time together, you can’t help but fall in love with them right away.
Matthew Dillon, Director of Communications at the Zoological Wildlife Foundation, said: “Our goal is to educate the public about the danger these animals face in the wild and what can be done to protect them. “Binta has known Limbani since birth, and they have clearly adopted a playstyle that suits them for both.”
Even if Binta’s teeth are already quite sharp, despite its age, and that can hurt Limbani, Dillon said playtime really helps the cubs develop a social life.
On the other hand, Limbani is famous for being an amiable spirit and a very intelligent chimpanzee.
His hobbies include some activities that sound quite difficult, even for a chimpanzee, such as painting or answering the phone.
