A pride of lions has created their own Boh-mane-ian Rhapsody album cover.
Daniel Rosengren, 40, captured the once-in-a-lifetime moment when the big nocturnal cats only revealed their heads in a perfect circle, similar to Queen’s famous cover.
“This is a very tiny pride of Mukoma Mischiefs with just one adult female and her four cubs – one is out of frame.”
I slowly crept out of my vehicle and crouched down low to obtain the lion’s heads against only the sky as a backdrop.
All the lions were astonished when I got out of the vehicle, hence the intense gaze in their eyes.
I took many photographs, and like the lion circle photograph, only one had this excellent symmetry.
I was stunned by the ideal match of the ears and recalled Queen’s album cover for “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
“It appears like the lions are piled on top of each other, but the fact is that the middle lion at the bottom is actually in front of the others -look closely, and you’ll notice her shoulder and butt to the right.”
