The 12lb cub was born at the zoo on July 31, and since then, the little cub has only spent time with his mother. Therefore, the staff at the zoo decided it was time for the newest member to meet his family. And the moment he finally saw his two-year-old father again, won over the Internet. According to Denver Zoo officials, the cub will soon be ready for his first public appearance.

“He has spent the last few months bonding with his mom, dad, and half-sister backstage at Predator Ridge in the Denver Zoo, and will soon be making his public debut in one of the outdoor habitats. ,” Jake Kubié, communications director at the Denver Zoo told Bored Panda. “He is everything you can expect from a cub: playful, curious, and energetic!”

Although people in Denver are very familiar with Neliah and Tobias, the baby’s parents, he still doesn’t have a name. So the zoo is looking for help with names in their fans. According to Bored Panda, the choices are Meru, which is the name of a mountain in Tanzania, Moremi, which stands for a game reserve in Botswana, and Tatu, which is the Swahili word for the number three (the cub is the third child). The Zoo is encouraging people to vote and donate $1 to the three finalists.
