Stunning life-sized sculptures carved from the beach provide all the sandcastle ideas you’ll need this summer.
Paul and Remy Hoggard, husband and wife artists, have traveled from beach to beach to create spectacular elephants, horses, and even the deceased gorilla Harambe on the sand.
“I was in India when I created my first sand sculpture and became obsessed with sand sculpturing, which I’ve been working on ever since.”
Paul from Beverley, Yorkshire, formed a partnership with his wife Remy from the Netherlands to start Sandartist.ltd, which creates sand sculptures for events all over the world.
Last year, the couple’s most impressive work includes elephants carved to stunning detail, a horse, an orangutan, and Harambe, the gorilla who was shot when a kid entered his enclosure at Cincinnati Zoo, is among their finest recent accomplishments.
