This adorable newborn monkey cuddles into his mother as they stay warm during a rigorous winter in the United States.
At the end of last year, a male black and white colobus was born at Saint Louis Zoo, where temperatures frequently fall below freezing.
He is still living with a group of females who alternate caring for the youngster.
Cecelia, 18, is the alpha female who is a seasoned mother and is caring for her one-year-old daughter as well.
Also in the family are Ziggy and Simon, aged two and three, along with their half-sister Binti, four.
Colobus babies are born pink with white hair.
Adults are mostly black, with white hair circling their faces and half of their tails.
“The new baby is doing fantastic and becoming very interested in everything that goes on about him,” said Brooke Johnson, who works at the zoo.
“Binti and Simon, brother and sister, are doing an excellent job caring for and looking after their newborn sibling as well as a one-year-old Willow is coping very well to sharing her mother with her baby brother.”
