When his mother, Ela, abandoned her newborn son Parys after he was born at a private zoo in Wojciechów, Poland, the infant lion was frightened and lonely.
A vulnerable lion cub, Parys, was kept healthy with the help of an old English sheepdog, Carmen
Ewa Wiktorowska, a zoo worker, adopted him and brought him home to live with her and her Old English Sheepdog, Carmen – who had just given birth to five pups.
Saved: Zoo worker, Ewa Wiktorowska, took the lion cub home after it was abandoned by its mother.
The puppy immediately bonded with Parys and the cub began to snuggle up to its new family and even suckle from Carmen.

Parys has quickly put on weight in his new home and is having a lot of fun playing with his five newborn siblings.
