Snow leopards are the least aggressive of the big cats, despite their size. Their tails extend to the same length as the rest of their bodies and are mainly used for balance. However, they seem to be the perfect thing for nibbling on.
They don’t seem to be able to resist this, either in the wild or in captivity, maybe it’s just genetics, or perhaps they just can’t resist the fluff.
It is still unknown why these majestic creatures like to bite their huge fluffy tails; some say it helps them stay warm in the cold.
Others have suggested this is simply a form of play behaviour; whatever the reason, we would love to see it!
