This is the terrifying moment a woman and her partner woke up to see three thirsty lionesses licking water outside their tent.
Francie Francisca Lubbe and her partner set up camp at Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in Botswana as the lionesses approached their tent.
While most of us would have had some form of singularity, the woman instead said she felt in a unique position to have such guests.
You can see in the video the lions licking the translucent tent while the camerawoman tried to keep quiet.
Dereck and Beverly Joubert, a pair of big cat conservationists, said: ‘People often panic and behave badly when lions approach in the wild.
“I appreciate what these visitors did and how they reacted, with calm and appreciation. Well done.”
“The lions were licking dew or moisture off the tent obviously and are not a threat in any way, so this response was entirely appropriate, and their appreciation for the absolute privilege is wonderful.”
What a fantastic experience!
