This is the unbe-leaf-able moment a group of nine goats was found standing on the branches of a tree.
The daring animals were at ease as they scrambled to the top of the massive Argan tree in Tamri, Morocco.
This goat balanced dangerously in order to eat
While it may appear to be a strange sight, these tree-climbing goats are no “Silly-Billies,” the clever animals climb the tree to tuck into its leaves and fruit.
The fruit is hard to come by, and the goats — better known for climbing mountains — are frequently so hungry they scale trees in search of it.

It’s good news for local farmers, who typically follow these herds of goats from tree to tree, since the fruits include a nut inside that the goats can’t digest. When they eliminate them, argan kernels contained within the nuts may be crushed to produce argan oil, which is both beautiful and useful.
These incredible photographs were taken in Tamri, Morocco, by Swiss photographer Francis Naef, using a Nikon D800 with a 24-70m f/2.8 lens.

“It was really special for me to witness this scene for the first time in person, and of course it was fantastic to be able to snap some photos.”
“They looked pretty secure. At least, I didn’t see any goats falling down.”
