This photographer will have you seeing double after capturing some stunning images of a majestic lioness perfectly reflected in the water below.
The lioness eagerly waited to cross a flooded road in the Vumbura Concession of Okavango Delta, Northern Botswana, when snapper Nick Leuenberger captured these incredible shots.
The mother was desperate to be reunited with her three cubs, and she gracefully tackled the watery terrain.
Nick, 36, from South Africa, said: “We left for the afternoon looking for lioness. We tracked them to an area in the Vumbura Concession known as Marongas Island, which is both very wet and marshy.
“We came around a bend in a flooded road and saw one lioness waiting on the edge of the water.”
“The reflection was perfect, and I managed to capture a few shots of her.
“She entered the water and was greeted by three young lions, her cubs, and her sister’s cubs.
“Shortly after that, her sister appeared from the same spot, and the three young lions rushed to wetly greet her.”
“They then crossed the water in front of my vehicle and later climbed up a rain tree to watch the sunset over another spectacular day at the Okavango River.”
