A sub-adult elephant fell into a dry well at Yelagundur near Panchapalli village in Dharmapuri district. The elephant has been struck at 50 feet; the rescue operation is now underway.
A whole village in Tamil Nadu is praying for an elephant’s survival. The incident occurred at Yelagundur in Panchapalli hamlet in Tamil Nadu. While looking for food on a farm in the village, the elephant fell into a dry well by accident.
On Thursday, around 4 a.m., the elephant fell into a well on the Venkatachalam farm in Tamil Nadu, India. Mr. Venkataram, the farm’s owner, was the first to observe the occurrence. He immediately notified the forest apartment about it.
The forest department rushed to the scene and began rescue operations using two cranes.
According to the Forest Department’s Raj Kumar, the elephant had no serious injuries. They’ll try to coax the elephant after bringing the well water down with a pump and then capture it using cranes.
The elephant has been supplied with food and water. Hundreds of villagers have gathered in the area to watch the elephant being saved.
