This elephant had absolutely no interest in waiting for his turn at a watering hole in Botswana National Park and strode forward to the line, launching terrified impalas flying left, right, and center.
Indeed, Impalas was enjoying a drink at a watering hole in Nxai Pans Park when a giant male elephant rushed forward, demanding all the water for him.
The elephant dashed up to the watering hole, with the impalas scattering scattered to avoid being hit by his large trunk.
The incident was recorded by Johan Barnard, 50, from Cape Town, South Africa.
Mr Barnard said: ‘At midday, the whole area was on fire, and we were looking out over the only watering hole for miles around.
‘After a while, a bull elephant approached, looking for a drink – although he initially appeared disinterested in the other animals around.
‘Before we knew it, the elephant was swinging its trunk and kicking its legs out in what appeared to be an attempt to get other animals away from the water’s edge.
‘He didn’t cause any in.ju.ries, but he certainly dug his own grave afterwards. If it were a human, it would be not polite. ‘
