In his mind, this baby elephant is the most ferocious, aggressive, and fearsome creature on the planet, capable of taking down any predator that gets in his way.
One concept might be true for the boy before the safari truck he decided to square off against refusing to move, and the calf was left to his mother to be safe.
The heartwarming footage was captured by a group of tourists to Kruger National Park in South Africa and showed the moment the baby elephant decided to show his courage.
He was running out of the long grass and picking up the parked safari vehicle to confront the tiny creature, who had clearly been watching his brothers too closely, coming in for the k.il.l.
Then he stopped in his way when he saw that the truck had not yet backed up and, after stopping for a split second, he turned on his heels and ran away.
The elephant camouflaged in the long grass for a moment before turning to face the tourists. He kept himself very still so as not to attract too much attention in the meantime.
After regaining his breath and sanity, he went in for round two and ran towards the car again, moving beyond where he had stopped earlier.
He also moved faster and looked as if he was about to contact the truck before doing a lap without stopping and returning to the bushes.
Approaching to check out the commotion, the calf’s mother suddenly appeared in the frame and walked over to the calf still hiding in the grass.
Deciding to make one last attempt to chase the car away, the baby ran as fast as he could once more before turning around and taking off for the last time.
Humorously, the baby elephant then walked up to and stood under its mother for safety, and looked back at the amused tourists before plunging down the road away from the truck.
Since being posted to YouTube, the cute clip has been viewed more than 70,000 times, and some people have commented on the baby elephant’s ferocity.
