Jennifer Rutter gets daily visits from a sweet little fox that likes to hang out in the garden or sunning in the sun on a window ledge.
Rutter often enjoys watching wildlife through the windows of her London home, just like this particular fox.
Rutter said: “I see that fox almost every day, and she is our favorite street animal. “The kids watched her from their bedroom windows.”
Despite the popular belief among foxes in London, this one seems to be quite polite, “She seemed really polite and gentle,” she said.
“[She stepped] off the sidewalk for people to pass, and aside from the debris she left in my garden, she was very welcome!”
She’ll even leave knick-knacks on her doorstep, “It’s given me a lot of ‘gifts,'” said Rutter. “I’ve had a bag of musty limes, lots of chicken thighs, a sausage, a little toy car – bread seemed to be my favorite.”
Recently though, the fox made a new friend of Dodo, Rutter’s kitten.
One day, a fox appeared at the window, and Dodo immediately took the opportunity to play with the wild vixen.
“Dodo was on my knee, and I pointed the fox out to her. She jumped up to the window and got the fox’s attention, and then I started filming. I’ve never seen them interact before and it was so moving to see them mirroring each other. ”
